Shanky Chellaram

Location: , Gibraltar

Formed: 09th Mar 1968

Shanky Chellaram was born in 1948 and sadly passed away on 23rd December 2008. However, as his legacy, he left us a song entitled 'The Other Side', to help all those who have lost a loved one. The song was actually first written in late '70s/early '80s for his wife, Nalanie Chellaram. To commemorate two years since his passing, the song has now been re-recorded in 2010 by his wife and family with the help of talented musician, producer and friend, Dennis Valerga. The song is performed by Denis Valerga and Shanky's family. The song will hopefully inspire those who have suffered a personal loss in their life. Today is the first day I have been able to listen to this song without crying. A song that has touched my heart so very deeply. Inspired song by a beautiful soul written for another shining soul. The children singing make it perfect. Sadness and joy, my very special song!! Thank you for sharing with the world.
